Focus Business Communications
While Focus Business Communications longer trading, the spirit of Focus Business Communications lives on within and around the concept a:m team.
Ian Ward initially set up Ward Sound and managed the audio and video for conferences and the recording and distribution of audio. Ian’s own voice was used on many a cross channel ferry for the safety announcements in addition to many, many corporate videos. This evolved in to Focus Television and Audio, a company that grew to serve many international organisations including IBM, VT Group (initially known as Vosper Thornycroft), Esso and Zurich and even more local firms including local advertising agencies, broadcasters and educational establishments. A valuable relationship existed that saw Focus Television work with the museum exhibit designers located at Beaulieu Motor Museum. As a result of this, Focus’s work was featured around the world, and, more importantly, was used in digital formats even before YouTube existed! Focus adopted digital tools long before many others, from digital editing systems to digital acquisition.
Through supporting an executive leadership consultancy, Ian met Adrian Moss and together formed Focus Business Communications. Its purpose was to continue to provide audio-visual content and, with Adrian’s experience, to support businesses with additional communications requirements.
Focus Business Communications, sometimes abbreviated to FBC, found itself with an enviable reputation and equally enviable client list expanding their work to include government agencies, notably the Maritime Coastguard Agency. Staying ahead of the curve, FBC continued to invest in digital video and was relied upon for high quality video streamed over the internet for a range of business uses.
Paul’s first job was with Focus Television from which Focus Business Communications emerged. He went on to be a camera operator and production editor and worked on a variety of corporate and broadcast content.
Martin has maintained a close relationship with Focus throughout its different guises and led the transition from analogue video to digital. Latterly, he introduced website development services.
Focus Business Communications was more than a name, its reputation was defined by its people.

They partner with local broadcast camera operator and a key contributor to Focus, Andy Goode for video creations, and with Janita Kendricks, former Focus producer and fixer.
